Kensy and Max is an amazing and intriguing book that can relate to everybody in one way or another making it fun for all readers. The way that Jacqueline has made the main characters both boy and girl makes it feel more open to everyone. The book makes you think twice about what just happened and makes you try to fit the pieces into the puzzle. I fit in reading it whenever I can and I would fall asleep, book in hand.
When Kensy and Max’s worlds flip upside down, they have to start their lives all over again with no parents and only little people to trust. The battles they fight hand in hand, brother and sister, and the not-so-coincidences that keep on happening makes them think there’s more to their parents disappearance then they thought. To make matters worse, they both have their own problems like starting a new school, dealing with bullies, trust, bravery and acting normal isn’t so easy for some people.
The age group I think would be best is between the ages 11 to 14 because she uses a big vocabulary. Also when I tried to read this when I was 9 I could not even get past chapter 2 because there are a lot of pages in the one book so any years younger would lose interest quite quickly.

I have read this book about a year ago and I still remember it! Just like 11andcool said, this book is a page turning read. It’s also fun when you get to the next chapter because Jaqueline Harvey writes the chapter name in code, and you unscramble it yourself.
