Romance, comedy
Natalie thinks she is a real example of how fake love is. She is devastated by the dissolution of her parents’ marriage and burdened by her grandmother’s expectations for proper Lebanese women, which include marriage, motherhood, and mastery of the tabouli. Nat is less than delighted about the enormous responsibility she faces when her closest friend decides to marry a man in their native Lebanon: balancing ethnic customs, extra bridesmaid outfits, and extremely critical relatives. The annoyingly attractive best man and his persistent urge to mansplain everything are the cherry on top. Natalie will have the experience of a lifetime. But can she do it without succumbing to the cult of romance herself?
It has been known to be a book that hooks people on from the very start, when a read this book, I felt that Natalie is a character that many people will be able to relate to. I give this book a 5/5-star review. I love the way Sarah wrote it and the story is relatable.
